Jack Schlossberg, grandson of President John F. Kennedy, presented the 2013 New Frontier Awards, which were created “to honor young Americans who are changing their communities—and the country—with their commitment to public service.” The awards, which are a joint effort of the Institute of Politics and the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation, were given to Charles Best, Founder and CEO of DonorsChoose.org, and Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard of Hawaii. Schlossberg and the recipients reflected on President Kennedy’s legacy and the meaning of public service.
