Latinx Leadership in America: A Conversation with Maria Hinojosa and Jorge Ramos
Description
With decades of journalistic and leadership experience between them, Maria Hinojosa and Jorge Ramos have championed progress and hope in U.S. Latinx communities while exposing how prejudice and failed policies have prevented the U.S. from reaching its potential as a nation of immigrants. They will join us in conversation, co-sponsored with the Center for Public Leadership and Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics and Public Policy, in the JFK Jr. Forum on Wednesday, November 18th at 1:00pm ET. Drawing on their shared Mexican-American background, they will celebrate and consider the multifaceted, multicultural U.S. Latinx experience, as well as their journeys to be two of the most revered Latinx leaders in the country. Featuring:
- Maria Hinojosa: Journalist and Author, Once I was You: A Memoir of Love and Hate in a Torn America
- Jorge Ramos: Journalist and Anchor, Al Punto, Univision News, America with Jorge Ramos
