On Wednesday, September 2nd at 6pm ET, Mary C. Daly, President and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, will join Douglas W. Elmendorf, Dean and Don K. Price Professor of Public Policy at the Harvard Kennedy School, for the Seymour E. and Ruth B. Harris Lecture. President Daly and Dean Elmendorf will discuss the current state of the U.S. economy, lessons learned from the last economic expansion, and the role of monetary policy.
Daly joined the Federal Reserve in 1996 and is the first openly gay woman to lead a regional Federal Reserve bank and the second woman in the bank’s 105-year history to hold the role of President and CEO following her mentor and former Federal Reserve Chair Janet L. Yellen. Under Daly’s leadership, she has worked to increase diversity and inclusion within the Federal Reserve System.
