On Thursday, March 24, the JFK Jr. Forum will host Julián Castro, former 2020 presidential candidate, former secretary of housing and urban development, mayor of San Antonio, Texas, and author of An Unlikely Journey: Waking Up from My American Dream, for a discussion on his historic run for president, the state of politics today, and the future of the progressive movement. The conversation will be moderated by Maya Rupert, IOP Spring 2022 resident fellow, political strategist, writer, distinguished fellow with Community Change, and Secretary Castro’s 2020 presidential campaign manager.

The Institute of Politics follows all HKS COVID health and safety protocols, including vaccination, testing, and quarantine guidelines. HKS buildings including the Forum are currently closed to people without a Harvard ID and attendance will be limited to the 250-person room capacity. RSVPs are required for in-person attendance. Effective Monday, March 14, masks will no longer be required at HKS events, but anyone who wishes to wear a mask should feel free to do so.
