A Conversation with Congressman Jamie Raskin

Description

Associated Program:
John F. Kennedy Jr. Forum
Speakers:
Jamie Raskin

The JFK Jr. Forum welcomes Congressman Jamie Raskin (AB ‘83, HLS ’87) back to Harvard for an in-person Forum on Wednesday, April 13. A former constitutional law professor and state senator, Raskin represents Maryland’s 8th Congressional District and is the author of Unthinkable: Trauma, Truth, and the Trials of American Democracy. Seven days after Raskin lost his son Tommy to suicide, insurrectionists stormed the U.S. Capitol. Raskin’s leadership as House impeachment manager during former President Trump’s second trial – while enduring that personal trauma – riveted the nation. Join us for a conversation with Congressman Raskin about the state of our democracy and the domestic and global challenges we face.
