America's Youngest Elected Officials

As American democracy faces challenges, young people are raising their hands to run for office at all levels of government. On March 31, the JFK Jr. Forum will convene a group of some of America's youngest elected officials to discuss why they chose to run, how they got elected, and what it's like to lead as a young person.

Please join us as Peter Hamby, host of Snapchat's Good Luck America, moderates a conversation with Karla García, Dallas ISD School Board trustee for District 4; Joe Mitchell, state representative of Iowa's 84th House District and president and founder of Run GenZ; Park Cannon, state representative for Georgia House District 84; Justin Tseng '22, Medford, Massachusetts city councilor; and Landin Stadnyk, conservation district supervisor of Scott County, Kentucky.

Please register by 12:00 PM ET on Thursday, March 31 if you would like the possibility of attending this event in-person. Registrants will be notified by 5:00 PM ET that day if a seat is available for them in the venue. If a seat is not available, registrants can stream the event live via our social media channels.

If you receive a seat in the venue but can no longer attend, we ask that you notify us by emailing harvardiop@gmail.com so that space can be made for another registrant.

The Institute of Politics follows all HKS COVID health and safety protocols, including vaccination, testing, and quarantine guidelines. HKS buildings including the Forum are currently closed to people without a Harvard ID and attendance will be limited to the 250-person room capacity. RSVPs are required for in-person attendance. Effective Monday, March 14, masks will no longer be required at HKS events, but anyone who wishes to wear a mask should feel free to do so.
