Meghan O’Sullivan, Jeane Kirkpatrick Professor of the Practice of International Affairs at the Harvard Kennedy School, moderated the discussion, “America and Israel: On the Same Page Regarding Regional Challenges?” with former President of the World Bank Robert Zoellick, 2009-2012 Under Secretary of Defense for Policy Michèle Flournoy, Former Chief of Defense Intelligence, Israel Defense Forces, Major General (Ret.) Amos Yadlin, and former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Intelligence for the Government of Israel, Dan Meridor.  Panelists addressed key regional challenges, including the civil war in Syria, Iran’s nuclear program, and the aftermath of the Arab Spring, while also considering the strategic outlook and future of U.S. leadership in the region. Questions from the audience included the potential for a one state solution with Palestine and the challenges in devising a U.S.-Iran deal that would satisfy domestic constituencies.
