2022 Goldsmith Awards
Description
The Goldsmith Awards honor public service journalism that has an impact on United States public policy and the functioning of government. Each year the awards honor six reporting teams (five finalists and one winner) that have done the best investigative reporting that has an impact on U.S. public policy in the previous year, as well as one Career Awardee for Excellence in Journalism, and two awards for books published in the last year on a topic at the intersection of media, politics, and public policy.
The event features the awarding of the 2022 Goldsmith Prize for Investigative Reporting and a conversation between 2022 Goldsmith Career Award Winner Michele Norris, columnist for The Washington Post, founder of The Race Card Project, and former host of NPR's "All Things Considered," and Shorenstein Center Director Nancy Gibbs.
This year's awards ceremony will be held in-person for the first time since 2019, with one representative from each finalist and the Career Award winner present to accept their awards. The ceremony will also be livestreamed for the general public.
