Thomas W. Luce was a candidate for Governor of Texas in the primaries of 1990. Mr. Luce served as the recent chair of the Texas National Research Laboratory Commission, the state agency responsible for the state's participation in the superconducting super collider laboratory. Previously, he was appointed to serve as a member of the Texas War on Drugs Committee and was appointed to serve as Chief of Staff of the Texas Select Committee on Public Education. Mr. Luce also serves on the Board of Trustees of Southern Methodist University.
