Rose Wairimu Waruhiu is a management consultant in Kenya, working most recently for Muchekehu & Associates and Women in Development. Previously, she was nominated Member of Parliament from October 1983 to January 1989 and was the Representative of Kenya to ACP-EEC Joint Assembly from 1984 to 1987. Ms. Waruhiu is a member of the Kenya National Committee of United World Colleges, chairman of the League of Friends Kenyatta National Hospital, and Locational Chairman, Secretary Sub-branch Githunguri and Assistant Secretary Kiambu Branch of the ruling KANU Party.
