Ronald H. Brown is the deputy campaign manager for Edward Kennedy's Presidential Campaign. Mr. Brown was previously the National Urban League's representative and spokesman in the Nation's Capitol as Vice President for Washington Operations. He joined the League in May 1967 and progressively rose up the ranks of the organization achieving a record of exemplary service. Mr. Brown is also Legislative Chairman of the Leadership Conference on Civil Rights and serves on its executive committee. He has been Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the University of the District of Columbia since its creation in 1976. In the past, Mr. Brown was an active member of the board of the American Civil Liberties Union and the National Center for Voluntary Action and was a consultant to the Ford Foundation Energy Policy Project.
