Michael Waldman is an Assistant to the President and Director of Speechwriting at the White House. Previously, he served as Deputy Assistant to the President, Special Assistant to the President for Policy Coordination on the Domestic Policy Council, and Special Assistant to the President for Policy Coordination in the Office of Strategic Planning and Communications. Mr. Waldman was Deputy Communications Director of the Clinton-Gore '92 Campaign and in the Office of the President-Elect. He also directed D.C.'s largest consumer advocacy lobbying office, Public Citizen's Congress Watch, where he also served as Legislative Director. Mr. Waldman is author of the S&L scandal book, Who Robbed America? A Citizen's Guide to the Savings and Loan Scandal.
