Mario Draghi has been Director-General of the Italian Treasury, a member of the Economic and Financial Committee of the European Economic Community and a member of the G-7 deputies since 1991. In 2000, Mr. Draghi became Chairman of the Economic and Financial Committee of the European Union. From 1984-90, Mr. Draghi served as Executive Director of the World Bank and Affiliates in Washington DC. He has been a professor of Economics at Florence University in Italy and has served as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Princeton Institute for Advanced Study. Mario Draghi will be at the Institute of Politics from October - November, 2001.
