Joe Cari has held several senior positions in presidential campaigns. Mr. Cari served as National Finance Chairman for the 2000 campaign and is a current Member of the Democratic National Committee. He also serves on the Credentials Committee of the DNC. He has served as National Finance Chairman of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee and as General Counsel to the Rules Committee and Member of the Fairness Commission of the DNC. Mr. Cari is the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars; Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Joan B. Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies, at the University of Notre Dame and he also serves on the Board of Advisors for the John H. Foster Center for Private Equity, Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. His career in public service has included roles such as Special Counsel to the Drug Enforcement Caucus of the US Senate Judiciary Committee; Legislative Assistant to US Congressman Marty Russo; Member of the Illinois Attorney General's Task Force on Hazardous Waste; and the Chairman's Advisory Board of the US Senate Judiciary Committee on Civil Litigation.
