Jeremy D. Larner is a novelist and reporter who was a major speechwriter in the fall of 1968 for Senator Eugene McCarthy. He recently collaborated on a screen adaption of his 1964 novel, Drive, He Said. Other works by Mr. Larner include, The Addict in the Street, Nobody Knows: Reflections on the McCarthy Campaign of 1968, and The Answer. Mr. Larner won an Academy Award in 1973 for the screenplay for the movie The Candidate.
