Gad Ranon

Spring 1982

Gad Ranon has served three and half years as Director of the North American Division for the Israeli Ministry for Foreign Affairs, which deals with the bilateral political aspects of U.S.-Israel and Canada-Israel relations. Previously, Mr. Ranon was a member of the Israeli delegation which negotiated the establishment of a multinational force and observers in Sinai, a fellow at the Salzburg Seminar for American Studies, Deputy and Acting Director of the Division for International Jewish Affairs in the Ministry, and was a spokesman for the Prime Minister's Bureau after he established and directed the Media Communications Division in the Prime Minister's Office.; Mr. Ranon has also served as press counselor and spokesman of the Israel Embassy in Washinton, foreign press office at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, Senior Consul for Press and Information at the Consulate General of Israel in Chicago and was a founding member of the Department of International Cooperation in the Ministry for Foreign Affairs.
