Fall 2021 Resident Fellows

For over fifty years IOP Fellows have provided Harvard students with the opportunity to learn from prominent public servants, engage in civil discourse, and acquire a more holistic and pragmatic view of our political world.

Ashley Allison

 

Builder, creator, advocate, and organizer, Ashley Allison is an Obama-Biden Administration and Biden-Harris campaign senior staffer with more than 15 years of experience building campaigns and strategies that lead to victory. As the National Coalitions Director for Biden-Harris 2020 presidential campaign, she led nearly 500 staff and paid fellows to activate the most robust coalition of voters in modern history.

Honorable Sara Gideon

 

Two term Speaker of the Maine House of Representatives and Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate from Maine, Sara Gideon today remains dedicated to improving access to education, healthcare and economic opportunity by continuing her work to lift families out of poverty. Gideon spent her years in public service working with both Democratic and Republican Governors and during times of divided government.

Holly Kuzmich

 

Holly Kuzmich serves as Executive Director of the George W. Bush Institute, and has over 20 years of public policy experience, serving in senior positions in the government, private, and non-profit sectors. She is a veteran of the White House, the U.S. Department of Education, and Capitol Hill, where she developed her expertise in education policy.

Arnon Mishkin

 

Arnon Mishkin has led the Fox News election night decision team since 2008, leveraging election day voter polling, sample precincts, and actual vote results to estimate results of all statewide and congressional contests. He has worked as part of the team since 1998, and directed its coverage in the historic 2020 presidential election.

Trymaine Lee

 

Trymaine Lee is a Pulitzer Prize and Emmy Award-winning journalist and correspondent for MSNBC and the host of the “Into America” podcast, where he explores the intersection of politics, race and justice through the lens of the Black experience in America.

Congressman William "Mac" Thornberry

 

Mac Thornberry is a former chairman of the Armed Services Committee in the U.S. House of Representatives, where he represented the 13th district of Texas for 26 years.  He was also a member of the House Intelligence Committee for more than a decade.
