David Pryor is the former Governor of and U.S. Senator for the state of Arkansas. In 1960, he was elected to the Arkansas State House of Representatives where he served three terms. In November of 1966, he was elected to fill the unexpired term of Congressman Harris and went on to serve three full terms. In 1974, Mr. Pryor was elected to the first of his two terms as Governor, and in 1979 was elected to the U.S. Senate. Mr. Pryor retired from the Senate at the end of 1996 and is currently a Managing Director of Herrington, Inc. in Little Rock.
