Anne Forrester

Anne Forrester is currently Deputy Director and Deputy Assistant Administrator in the Regional Bureau for Africa of the United Nations Development Programme in New York. Prior to joining UNDP in 1985, Ms. Forrester served as Staff Director of the U.S. House of Representatives' Foreign Affairs Subcommittee 982; as U.S. Ambassador to Mali; and as Special Assistant and Director of the U.S. State Department Office of the U.S. Permanent Representative to the United Nations (1977-1979). Before moving to the State Department in 1977, Ms. Forrester worked for two years as Legislative Assistant for foreign affairs to former Congressman Andrew Young, and in 1974 she served as an official observer to the U.N. Conference on Multinationals in Geneva.
