Intelligence, espionage, and secret operations have been key to American might since the Revolutionary War. But today’s Intelligence Community and broader national security infrastructure are far different from what Paul Revere and the “Sons of Liberty” had at their disposal. How and why has this bureaucracy ballooned, and what authorities does — and should — it have to operate in the shadows? Former Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines will join to discuss her perspective.
