Study Group with Ned Price: National Security in a Democracy: Can We Have It All?

Ours is a government of, by, and for the people — but very few of those people are witting of all that our government does at home and around the world in the name of national security. 

This opening session examines the enduring tension between protecting the nation and preserving a healthy democracy. We’ll set the stage for a series of discussions confronting a Gordian question: Where do we draw the line between what our government can — and should — do to keep us safe while remaining sufficiently open and accountable to our fellow citizens?
