Join the Institute of Politics, in partnership with the Harvard College Canadian Club, for a conversation with The Honourable Caroline Mulroney, Ontario’s Minister of Francophone Affairs and President of the Treasury Board. 

A leader at the forefront of provincial governance, Mulroney has played a key role in advancing major infrastructure investments, strengthening francophone communities, and overseeing government spending in one of Canada’s largest provinces. Drawing on her experience across both public service and the private sector, she will offer insights into economic growth, public leadership, and cross-border perspectives on policy.

This conversation will be moderated by Thomas Mete, Senior at Harvard College and Prime Minister of the Harvard College Canadian Club.

About The Honourable Caroline Mulroney

The Honourable Caroline Mulroney currently serves as Ontario’s Minister of Francophone Affairs and President of the Treasury Board. Mulroney was first elected as the Member of Provincial Parliament for York–Simcoe in 2018 and was re-elected in 2022 and 2025. She previously served as Minister of Transportation from 2019 to 2023 and as Attorney General of Ontario.

As Minister of Francophone Affairs, Mulroney has championed the growth and vitality of Ontario’s francophone communities, playing a central role in establishing l’Université de l’Ontario français, the province’s first French-language university.

As President of the Treasury Board, Mulroney oversees provincial government spending and is focused on delivering value for taxpayers through strategic investments. She has helped advance one of the province’s most ambitious capital plans to build and expand highways, transit, housing, and other critical infrastructure to support economic growth.

Before entering public life, she built a career in the private sector, holding senior roles at Canadian and U.S.-based law and financial firms, as well as serving as Associate Director of the NYU Center for Law & Business.

Mulroney is a graduate of Harvard College and earned her Juris Doctor from the NYU School of Law.
