About Marie Scott: 
Marie Scott is the Associate General Counsel for the Children, Families, and Aging Division (CFAD) in the Office of General Counsel (OGC) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). CFAD advises the Administration for Children and Families and the Administration for Community Living, which administer social services and safety net programs that include Temporary Assistance for Needy Families, the Unaccompanied Children Program, the Refugee Resettlement Program, the Child Care Development Fund, and Meals on Wheels. Before becoming Associate General Counsel, Marie’s work in CFAD focused on advising the Office of Head Start and the Family Violence Prevention Services Program. Prior to joining HHS OGC, Marie was a litigation associate in the D.C. office of Goodwin Procter. Marie graduated from Harvard College with a B.A. in Romance Languages and Literature and the Comparative Study of Religion. She received her law degree from Harvard Law School. Marie spent two years teaching middle school in Harlem between college and law school.
