Central banks and financial regulators, including the Federal Reserve System in the U.S., are facing major questions about how they are responding to risks and conditions in the economy and the financial system.

In this off-the-record session, we will discuss developments in monetary policy and financial regulation facing central banks and regulators. We will also reflect on crisis response, including actions taken during COVID-19 and the failure of Silicon Valley Bank.

Former Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Director Rohit Chopra will be joined by Dr. Lael Brainard, who is currently a Senior Research Fellow at the Mossavar-Rahmani Center and previously served as Director of the National Economic Council and Vice Chair and member of the Federal Reserve Board of Governors.
