Our Narratives

Description

Meeting Method:
In-Person
Associated Program:
John F. Kennedy Jr. Forum

Join us as eight Harvard undergrads deliver TedX-style talks sharing their stories of resilience, growth, identity and of public service. This semester we have eight students who come from very different backgrounds, speaking on topics ranging from redefining masculinity to pushing beyond the limitations of misrepresentation, from confronting economic inequality to using poetry as a weapon of advocacy.

Our student speakers will be:

  • Dina Kobeissi: "Beyond the Misrepresentation: Rising Above Arab and Muslim Dehumanization"
  • Key Williams: "A Moon's Love: From Foster Care to Advocacy"
  • Lauren Perl: "Echoes Through Time: From the Shadows of Holocaust to the Frontlines of Digital Hate"
  • Joseph Price: "Be a Man: Journey to Redefine Masculinity by Embracing Femininity"
  • Sham Qarqour: "Amplifying Silenced Narratives: A Story of the Sham"
  • Milagros Costabel: "The Story Not Told: The True Faces of Success"
  • Frida Lopez: "Miracles Don't Happen: Confronting Economic Inequality"
  • Alyssa Gaines: "Lagrimas Negras; National Laureateship; Before, After, & Beyond"

Please register with a valid Harvard email address to attend in-person. All JFK Jr. Forums are publicly livestreamed on our YouTube channel.
