Join us for a lunchtime conversation with Emily Jashinsky, D.C. Correspondent at UnHerd and co-host of Counter Points on the Breaking Points channel. A leading voice in the evolving independent media landscape, Jashinsky has interviewed prominent political figures and appeared regularly on national television, bringing sharp insight to today’s most consequential debates. Join us for a discussion on the state of political journalism, the rise of alternative media platforms, and what these shifts mean for the future of American politics.

About Emily Jashinsky

Emily Jashinsky is a journalist based in Washington, D.C. She is the host of After Party on MK Media, co-host of Breaking Points, and a columnist at UnHerd. Emily also hosts The Megyn Kelly Wrap Up Show on Sirius XM weekdays from 2:00-3:00 pm EST. From 2018 until 2024, Emily worked as an editor at The Federalist, and host of the flagship podcast Federalist Radio Hour. She previously co-hosted "Rising Fridays with Ryan and Emily" for The Hill and covered politics as a commentary writer at the Washington Examiner. 

From Camille Paglia to David Mamet and Marco Rubio to Marianne Williamson, Emily has interviewed leading politicians and entertainers and appeared regularly as a guest on major television news programs, including “Fox News Sunday,” “Media Buzz,” and “Washington Journal." Her work has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, the Telegraph, The Hill, RealClearPolitics, and more. Emily's on-the-ground coverage has taken her everywhere from investigations into cartel activity in Mexico to reporting live from anti-police riots in 2020 to the scene outside the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021. 

She's a frequent media critic and writes often on popular culture. Emily is a senior fellow at the Independent Women's Forum. She was a 2021 James Madison Fellow at Hillsdale College and a 2025 Ifill fellow. From 2020 to 2024, Emily taught young journalists as director of the National Journalism Center, where she remains a member of the board of governors. 

Emily is a graduate of George Washington University. She was born and raised in Wisconsin.
