The Media and the Next Trump Presidency
Description
The media is preparing to cover a Republican Party that made significant gains in the recent election across numerous demographic groups while the Democratic Party is trying to determine how to respond to its declining popularity with voters.
Three journalists (a panel of Eugenes!) who covered the ups and downs of the 2024 campaign, as well as the first Trump presidency, provide insight on the electorate's changing relationship with media, where the media excelled and fell short in its coverage, and where the industry goes from here.
Featuring:
- Eugene Robinson, Washington Post Columnist
- Eugene Daniels, Politico Playbook co-author and White House Correspondent
- Eugene Scott (Moderator), Axios Live host and Fall 2024 IOP Resident Fellow
