The challenges facing global news-industry leaders have seldom been as great as today. Economic disruption, technology transformation and a frontal assault on an independent free press as 'enemies of the people' are creating unprecedented headwinds for news leaders. How do they lead in such tumultuous times? And where do they see opportunities for success beyond the current uncertainty?

Join Shorenstein Center Director and former TIME Editor in Chief Nancy Gibbs for a panel discussion with:

  • Maria Ressa, Nobel Peace Prize recipient, CEO of Rappler, Fall 2021 Shorenstein Center Fellow and Center for Public Leadership Hauser Leader
  • Mark Thompson, former CEO of The New York Times Co.,
  • Richard Gingras, VP of News at Google,
  • Craig Forman, former McClatchy Co. CEO, and Schuster Media and Technology Fellow at the Shorenstein Center

Please RSVP by 8:00 PM ET on Sunday, November 7th. You must register using our RSVP link if you’d like the possibility of attending in person. We will notify you via email if you will be joining us in person or online.
