Distinguished visiting professor at Vanderbilt University and fellow of the Society of American Historians, Jon Meacham has authored numerous books including, "And There Was Light: Abraham Lincoln and the American Struggle and "His Truth Is Marching On: John Lewis and the Power of Hope." 

Dr. Drew Faust will moderate a discussion focused on democracy in the United States today, while drawing from themes and lessons throughout American history.
