American Dreaming: Social and Economic Mobility for the 'Firsts'
Description
In recognition of Hispanic Heritage Month, a conversation with U.S. Congressman Joaquin Castro (D-TX) and Alejandra Campoverdi, author of the national bestselling book FIRST GEN and former Obama White House official, as they unpack their own first generation journeys and explore the cost and achievability of social mobility for those who are the first in their families to cross a societal threshold.
In addition, Congressman Castro will speak to the unprecedented events in the U.S. House of Representatives and the ongoing race for a new speaker.
