  1. Undergraduate Pizza and Politics: WaPo Reporter David Fahrenthold on Covering President Trump

    David A. Fahrenthold is a reporter at The Washington Post covering politics. He has recently won acclaim for his coverage of the 2016 United States presidential election, particularly his investigations of Donald J. Trump’s charitable foundation and philanthropic giving, for which he received the Post‘s inaugural Ben Bradlee Prize. He is a graduate of Harvard College.

    Norman L. Eisen, a fellow at the Brookings Institute and the former U.S. ambassador to the Czech Republic, and Mary Graham, co-director of the Transparency Policy Project at the Ash Center, joined moderator Archon Fung, Academic Dean of the Kennedy School, for a historical conversation on Presidential secrecy, ethics, and transparency. The panelists discussed a wide range of transparency in the young Trump administration through a historical lens, discussing topics such as tax returns, personal health, and financial disclosures. The panelists also took questions from the audience on e-mail and cell phone security as well as the role of the media in ensuring government transparency.

    It is designed for students to explore varied public interest careers and network with alumni in those fields. Students have the opportunity to hear from inspiring speakers, interact with incredible alumni, participate in engaging activities & meet peers who share a passion for public service
