Description

Meeting Method:
In-Person

Join us on Thursday, April 1 at 4:30pm ET for a study group with IOP Fellow Governor Steve Bullock. Born in Missoula, Montana, and raised in Helena blocks away from the State Capitol, Steve Bullock is a product of public schools. Bullock was elected Montana’s 24th Governor, serving from 2013-2020. He worked with a Republican-majority legislature to improve access to health care, kick dark money out of state elections, make record investments in education, protect access to public lands, invest in infrastructure, and strengthen Montana’s economy.

Governor Bullock will be joined by United States Senator John Hickenlooper (D-CO).

As Governor and as an accomplished executive, Senator Hickenlooper is accustomed to getting results on issues confronting our nation -- not just talking about the problems. Senator Hickenlooper will discuss frustrations and obstacles in making Washington work, and how, even in these times of seeming political dysfunction, we can make progress on issues like climate, gun safety and income inequality.
