Education Policy Over Twenty Years: From No Child Left Behind to Every Student Succeeds
This second session on K-12 policymaking will explore the evolution of education policy.  We will dive into the implementation of the No Child Left Behind Act, how messaging continued to be an issue even after its passage, and how the law was changed and reauthorized a decade later. We’ll also explore how the education landscape looks today and what the major battles facing K-12 education policy are, especially after COVID-19 impacted the way students attended school over the past 18 months.

Holly will be joined by Margaret Spellings, former White House Domestic Policy Advisor and U.S. Secretary of Education under President George W. Bush.
