Study Group with Gloria Browne-Marshall: Theater - Creating a Legacy and Lifting Communities

Theater can make us feel empathy and anger. Actors, directors and producers can be activists. Both stage and film productions are windows into issues that affect our lives and provide a better understanding of our world. Social justice issues of personal concern to the creative person can bring deeper nuances to a role and the project. Creatives can create a body of work that becomes both their signature and their legacy. In so doing, we can all benefit. But what is the process actors use when deciding to take a particular role involving social justice?
