Study Group with Gloria Browne-Marshall: Music is Life Itself

Music is a mechanism to open the mind to creative ideas. Society has placed the burden on musicians to reveal the complexities of life. But, then, what is the role of a musician in relation to activism? Is it to educate and enlighten? Or are musicians walking their own path and we just happen to be on the same road? This discussion with Delfeayo Marsalis will speak to how musicians can cultivate global connections, refresh the world-worn spirit of public servants and empower young people.

Delfeayo Marsalis is a trombonist, composer, and producer dedicated to music and youth education. He is a member of the world-renowned Marsalis family of musicians.
