The Keys to the Governor's Mansion: The Challenges and Rewards of Women in Public Elective Office
This final session of our Study Group will focus on women in politics from the perspective of a national leader in the recruitment and training of women candidates, Barbara Lee and from my perspective as a candidate and office holder. There will be a NO HOLDS BARRED discussion about the challenges of decision making and the circumstances which tend to impact female candidates, about the election process as it impacts a female candidate, the fundraising, and most important the service as a woman elected to office.
The impact on family and personal life and the ability to decide when to get in and when to get out will be fodder for questions.
Guest: Barbara Lee, President & Founder of the Barbara Lee Foundation
Room: L166
