The Art of the Political Revolution: Millennials, Progressives and the Future of the Democratic Party
The coalitions working within and adjacent to the Democratic Party apparatus are in many ways driving the conversation (mainly because many of them have birthed powerful movements). In this week's study group, Symone will sit down with Sam Sinyangwe and Alencia Johnson to discuss the intersection of three specific coalitions that work with and adjacent to the Democratic Party: millennials of color, black women, and social justice activists. How are these groups creating movements and driving the progressive conversation forward? Guests will also share their personal stories about navigating among coalitions across the political left.
Guests: Sam Sinyangwe, policy analyst and founder of Campaign Zero and Mapping Police Violence, and Alencia Johnson, Director of Constituency Communications at Planned Parenthood
