Join Cit Tut and HPU for a discussion with Amira Al-Subaey and Emily Reiniger from the Massachusetts Immigrant and Refugee Advocacy (MIRA) Coalition!

The MIRA Coalition is the largest group in New England promoting the rights and integration of immigrants and refugees. The group has worked to secure millions of dollars in state funding for programs that support the social, civic and economic integration of immigrants and refugees. Additionally they advocate for progressive policies at the state, local and national levels, and fight to defeat anti-immigrant measures. The MIRA Coalition has also helped thousands of green card holders to become U.S. citizens and registered thousands of new Americans to vote.

Amira Al-Subaey is the coalition’s Field Organizer and Membership Coordinator, working to expand the services offered to immigrants and their communities. Emily Reiniger is the Citizenship Program Manager at the MIRA Coalition and has previously served for a year and a half as an AmeriCorps member in the Citizenship Program.
