Breaking the barrier

Breaking the barrier of being the "first" from a community to gain elected office is not easy. In fact, it rarely occurs the first time it is attempted.

That said the act of running - even if you do not win - is critical to eventually breaking the glass ceiling and to forcing political change. This week's study group will analyze and discuss the amount of effort and planning required for victory and the positive results of running and not winning.
