My name is Sophia Heinrich, and I am a freshman (Class of 2029) from Brookline, Massachusetts in Pennypacker, studying Environmental Science and Public Policy. I am the Chair of the Program for Environmental Politics, which engages students in environmental mitigation through scientific, political, and legal perspectives. 

Over the next year, I am looking toward empowering students to engage with environmental policy, justice, and advocacy by having thought provoking conversations with students passionate about climate justice and engaging with the experts in environmental reform. I also serve on the Global Affairs Program, and I previously was in the Harvard Political Review. I'm looking forward to exploring clubs outside of the IOP this semester. 

In my free time, I enjoy watercolor painting, reading, listening to music, and going on walks.
