Coalition for the Arts Chair

My name is Sasha Hitachi, and I am a junior (Class of 2025) in Kirkland House from Chattanooga, TN. I am a Social Studies and East Asian Studies concentrator, and I am also in the dual degree program with New England Conservatory pursuing an M.A. in flute performance. I am Co-Chair for the Arts Coalition, which aims to bridge arts activism and political advocacy. I am incredibly excited for our inaugural year, in which I hope to welcome new faces into the IOP and build a space where people feel comfortable expressing themselves politically and artistically. In addition to the Arts Coalition, I have also been in FSG, Policy, and CAP. Outside of politics, I am part of musical organizations like HRO and HCO, and I also lead the Harvard Chado Society (Japanese Tea Ceremony!). In my free time, I enjoy cooking for my friends and trying restaurants around Boston for new inspiration.
