Santiago Salazar

Research & Strategy Group

My name is Santiago Salazar, and I am a junior (Class of 2026) from Santiago, Chile in Leverett House studying Neuroscience and Psychology. I am the chair of the IOP's Research & Strategy Group, which works with non-profit, public sector, and private clients to solve complex socio-political issues.

Over the next year, I am looking forward to building a more structured mentorship framework within the organization and fostering a collaborative environment that enhances the quality and impact of our deliverables. I was previously the Director of Research, and I have also served as the outreach liaison for Andrea Flores as part of the Fellows and Study Groups.

Outside of the IOP, I am a research assistant at the Nelson Lab at Boston Children's Hospital, as well as an EMT with Crimson EMS. In my free time, I like to explore new restaurants in the Square, create Spotify playlists for my friends, and binge-watch old shows.
