My name is Ryan Jung, and I am a sophomore (Class of 2026) from Irvine, California in Cabot House studying social studies and philosophy. I am the Co-Chair of CIVICS, which sends volunteer teachers to elementary school classrooms in the Boston area to teach about political institutions and how to make an impact on them. Over the next year, I am looking forward to challenging students to think about broader questions of justice and morality in politics, especially as we enter a presidential election year. I was previously involved in the Policy Program on the Criminal Justice and Education teams. Outside of the IOP, I'm involved with the Edmond & Lily Safra Center for Ethics as an Undergraduate Fellow and work on expanding pre-college philosophy/ethics education. In my free time, I enjoy powerlifting and rummaging through secondhand shops.
