Russell is Lowell House resident from San Diego, California. A member of the Class of 2020, he is pursuing a Special Concentration in Geography and Development with a secondary in African Studies. He has been a member of the HPR since his first semester, and since then he has piloted several initiatives including the Red Line Fellowship for long-form, investigative journalism. Outside of the IOP, Russell is the lead representative of the Standing Committee on Undergraduate Education. He has work experience in South Africa, Japan, and Uganda, and as a Weatherhead Center Juster Fellow for 2019 he will soon add Belgium and Rwanda to that list.
