Morgan Byers
My name is Morgan Byers, and I am a first-year (Class of 2026) from Athens, Georgia intending on studying history of science and government! This year, I am incredibly excited to co-chair of the IOP Conferences Committee, which is responsible for assisting in the planning and execution of IOP conferences and events. I am looking forward to working closely with IOP staff and student leaders to further develop the Conferences Committee in its official inaugural year as well as provide our members opportunities to gain experience and expertise in planning large-scale events. Within the IOP, you can find me at at weekly WIL meetings and teaching with the CIVICS program. Outside of the IOP, I serve as a mentor in the Harvard Radcliffe Institute's Emerging Leaders Program, I am involved in Christian fellowships around campus, and I enjoy volunteering in the Boston and Cambridge community through PBHA and in local hospitals. When I get a spare moment, I love re-watching my favorite 90s rom-coms, catching up on college football games, taking walks by the Charles River, and trying new coffee shops with friends.
