Maya Jenkins

Maya is a Sophomore concentrating in Sociology with a secondary in English. A Montclair, New Jersey native, Maya is passionate about issues of equality and the transformative power of the political process. Maya has previously served as Chair of the Politics of Race and Ethnicity Program, is an active member of the JFK Jr. Forum Committee, and looks forward to deepening her commitment to the IOP as its Vice President. Outside of the Institute of Politics, Maya is a news correspondent for WHRB, helps to run congressional simulations as a part of Harvard Model Congress, and a member of the Harvard Organization for Prison Education and Reform. She can often be found in the candy aisle of CVS ranting about how amazing Kendrick Lamar is.
