Layla Kelly

Women's Initiative in Leadership Chair

My name is Layla Kelly, and I am a sophomore (Class of 2028) from Fort Wayne, Indiana in Lowell House studying Government and Economics. I am honored to serve as the Chair of the Women's Initiative in Leadership, which supports women interested in public service through candid conversations with inspiring female leaders, professional development workshops, and community-building initiatives.

Over the next year, I am looking forward to hosting conversations with women from a wide array of fields, strengthening career-focused programming, and increasing collaboration with organizations in and outside of the IOP. I am also involved in the Fellows and Study Groups program and the Conferences Committee.

Beyond the IOP, I lead civic education conferences for high school students through Harvard Model Congress and work with prospective students at Harvard's Admissions Office. I also continue to serve my home state as an appointed member of the Indiana Legislative Youth Advisory Council and previously interned at With Honor Action, an organization dedicated to fighting political polarization.

In my free time, I love doing yoga, playing tennis, and hunting for the best iced latte in Cambridge.
