CIVICS

My name is Laasya Chiduruppa, and I am a sophomore (Class of 2026) from Lexington, MA, in Dunster House studying History & Government. I am the Co-Chair of CIVICS, which places motivated undergraduates in classrooms throughout the Boston area, teaching civics and government classes to inspire students to take an active role in their communities and grow into participants in our democracy. Over the next year, I am looking forward to expanding the reach of CIVICS into more elementary classrooms and further exploring the advocacy side of civic education. I also serve as a team lead for the Policy Program and was previously involved in CitTut and HPU. Outside of the IOP, I am involved in the Crimson, Harvard Model Congress, and the South Asian Women's Collective. In my free time, I like to explore new podcasts and dig into conspiracy theories.
