Keren Elmore
My name is Keren Elmore, and I am a junior (Class of 2026) from New York City in Kirkland House studying Government with a focus in Public Policy. I am one of the 2025 Directors of Diversity and Engagement at the Institute of Politics, working to foster diversity, equity, and inclusion as well as uplift underrepresented groups within the IOP.
Over the next year, I am looking forward to building and strengthening partnerships with student groups on campus, promoting candid and impactful dialogue related to equity and inclusion, and expanding our initiatives to further engage and highlight the vibrant diversity of the IOP and our broader Harvard community.
I previously served as the Director of Operations and continue to be a member of the John F. Kennedy Jr. Forum Committee, and I previously served on two study group teams through the Fellows and Study Groups program.
Outside of the IOP, I am involved in the Black Arts Collective, Crimson Key Society, and an early education tutor for children in the New York metropolitan area. Off-campus, I have interned at the Office of Congressman Gregory Meeks (NY-05), Legal Aid Society's Education Advocacy Project, and Queens County Supreme Court Justice and Administrative Judge Michelle A. Johnson. In my free time, I enjoy writing spoken word poetry, finding new music to listen to, and spending time with friends.
