Politics of Race and Ethnicity

My name is Kathryn Kyomitmaitee, a sophomore (Class of 2026) from Nantucket, Massachusetts, living in Currier House and studying Economics and Government. This year, I'm excited to serve as one of the Co-Chairs for PRE (Politics of Race and Ethnicity), where we invite guest speakers and conduct projects exploring the intersectionalities of race, ethnicity, and politics. Over the next year, I look forward to introducing a new semesterly project idea for our members to collaborate with other organizations in the Boston/Cambridge area, furthering our shared goals together. Additionally, I'm on the Fellows Search Committee and previously served as the Social and Community Lead on PRE's Steering Committee. Outside of the IOP, I'm the Co-President of the Asian American Association, Co-Leader of Harvard Girl Up, a counselor for the Chinatown Afterschool Program, and a member of the Harvard Ethnic Studies Coalition. In my free time, I enjoy trying new boba flavors around the Square, walking along the river with my friends, and exploring new spots in Boston and beyond!
